Three years ago today. Photos of me and my brother Tiki Steve ( Instagram: @tikisteve ) teaming up to tattoo our friend Nils. We were doing a nordic skull. Looking back its interesting to see how much seemingly mundane, everyday relationships in life have such great impacts on our trajectory. It is precisely because we most consistently and by necessity most urgently must find and establish our role and place in any relationship with any people, any characters we find ourselves engaging with and associating with. Not to say, at all, that all relationships are positive and building ones, or even that any relationship has the potential for growth outside of being a place that must be learned best left behind, but those relationships that do force us into a state of flux and put us in a chaotic state in which we must adapt and grow into our own, should be celebrated. Weather intentional or not, conscious or not, men will always and should always pressure one another to fight and grow and evolve. Much love to my brother Steve for being such a positive pressure in my life. All these years of working next to this guy has forced me to grow into my own as a tattooer but to cultivate strong work ethics, while keeping my heart strong and intact. Absolutely take the time to check out his Instagram page @tikisteve.
